Crypto. Law. Knowledge.

Crypto is a field that advances at light speed. Years happen in weeks, months happen in days and days happen in hours. Stay on top of the latest legal and other crypto developments through this blog.

What this blog does:

If you’re here, you either follow me on twitter (@legalcommenter), you’re interested in crypto, or you’re interested in the law. This blog will cover relevant topics in crypto and topics at the intersection of crypto and the law. My twitter feed will also touch on these topics, but with a healthy dose of memes and shitposting scattered throughout.

Who I am:

Well, complicated question for an anon. My background is in transactional law, where I practiced in what tradfi dubs “Big Law”. I focused on capital markets and M&A during my time practicing before I recently left for a business side position at a legal tech company. My experience gives me the unique perspective of seeing transactions from both a financial and legal slant. Most importantly, I love crypto. I love what it represents, the community it preserves and the opportunity it affords.

Why start this blog:

Many people in this space either don’t have a lot of legal experience, haven’t had positive experiences with the law as it relates to crypto (thanks to tradfi ngmi parties screaming “regulate it!!!!!”), or both. I want to help shed light on recent legislature, lawsuits or other legal developments in the crypto field to an audience that cares the most about them. A lot of the law is fancy people writing in convoluted language that makes it hard to understand. I will simplify this language and explain complicated legal issues in a concise manner.
